Image 129 was created a
few days before 2000, as the Y2K hype was at its peak. Looking
at this image again made me realize that it could work quite well
as a clock face. So I re-created the image and modified it slightly
- using the same Bible verse from 2 Peter 3:8. Then using a kit
from a craft shop and a high gloss coating, proceeded to make
my own personalized clock which now hangs at home:
I discovered that
making a clock is quite easy these days - many craft shops sell
kits complete with clock mechanism - all you need is a face. Alternatively
- and if you know what you're doing - many modern clocks can be
easily disassembled to allow for the clock face to be changed.
If you want to do this yourself,
click on the image below to get a free 1000x1000 image that I
used. It should be good for clocks 6" to 13" in diameter.

This is what I did:
- Used a clock kit
that came with mechanism, hands, and a chip-board disc 12"
in diameter
- Printed the image
on large
(13"x19") heavy gloss photographic paper
- Stuck the printed
image to the clock disc - carefully aligned with the center.
- From the back,
cut around the edge of the disc with a sharp blade to remove
the excess photo-paper
- Added the numbers
I to XII by hand.
- Finished with
a high gloss coating.
- Once dry, sanded
down the edges, and assembled the clock.
Have fun!
